AI Anime Wallpapers

Anime characters and their powers make for some epic wallpapers. I made an AI workflow to generate these phone wallpapers. Scroll down for the workflow.

  1. Raehoshi Illust XL 2.1 as the base model. I used this because it has been trained to on several of the most popular anime and captioned with the character names. Why use SDXL instead of Flux? Simple reason is that Raehoshi Illust XL, which itself is a further fine tune of IllustriousXL0.1, has been captioned with anime character names. Flux, on the other hand, uses synthetic captions. So Naruto would not be captioned as Naruto, but rather as “a man with blue eyes and messy blonde hair wearing a headband and orange clothing”.
  2. ChatGPT to refine a simple prompt that included a character name into a booru prompt. My prompt of “Monkey D. Luffy stretching his arm, sunset background, shattered buildings around.” was converted into the booru type prompt “1boy, male focus, solo, monkey d. luffy, /(one piece/), black hair, messy hair, straw hat, red vest, sleeveless, blue shorts, sandals, scar under eye, stretching arm, elongated arm, determined expression, sunset, orange sky, dramatic lighting, silhouette effect, destroyed buildings, shattered structures, debris, standing, wide stance, confident, action pose, serious expression, post-apocalyptic setting, wind blowing.”
  3. SDXL LoRAs
  4. Euler Ancestral sampler with CFG 6 and 28 steps.
  5. Face detailer step that using YoloV8 to detect the face, then denoise it with 0.8 strength and regenerate. This removed artefacts from the face and improved quality greatly.
